Notably, the dynamics of the Chinese state media came just one day after a hearing of the US before the subcommittee scholars navy (Seapower and Projection Forces), Armed Services Committee of the US House, Thursday 21 / 9. At the hearing, Andrew Erickson, professor at the Institute of Chinese Maritime Naval Academy United States, confirmed the irregular forces of China at sea is one of the most important factors, but also the most flawed assessment, affect the US interests in the South China sea. Many in Washington said China had blue water navies the world's second largest, or Coast Guard largest green water, but most of them do not know China - the "Fleet" full-largest fishing vessel bridge - have deployed militias world's largest maritime sea. This in fact is the force most allegedly due to escalating tensions in the maritime disputes, according to Erickson. Vintage interval signals from underground (pirate) radio stations believed to be from the USSR, China or from Western agencies. These stations came around the Sino-Soviet split period, with the detonation of China's first atomic weapon, the Cultural Revolution and later with the Chinese political reforms. They broadcast "black propaganda" that were subversive and openly hostile to the Chinese government and leaders. Radio programs usually only 10-15 minutes long believed to be coming somewhere in the mainland might have been transmitting from the South China sea by boat or in nearby Russia and Taiwan. Broadcasters are either political dissidents who escaped the purge, rightists, exiles, and disgruntled PLA officers. Some stations could have been Vietnamese operatives backed by the KGB, or Kuomintang agents backed by the CIA, as pointed out by some media monitoring agencies. These broadcasts hoped to convince the average Chinese listener to participate in counter-revolutionary activities and overthrow the government or at least make them believe such a movement exists. It might also be Western intelligence agencies exploiting the rift between China and Russia. Radio broadcasts were assisted by various other psychological warfare methods found here: http://www.psywarrior.com/NationalistChinesePropaganda.html These and radio operations are not necessarily related. During the Sino-Soviet Split USSR and the PRC accused each other of betraying the Marxist-Leninist platform for various compromises they have had with the West. The stations went inactive during Mikhail Gorbachev’s visit to China and the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989. What's really out there? On Sunday 25th September 2016, China will unveil the world’s largest telescope and begin test operations searching for signals to understand the origin of the universe and the Big Bang. The Five-Hundred-Metre Aperture Spherical Telescope, known as FAST has been constructed over five years in a remote area of Guizhou province, south central China. It has been built in a 45 million year old crater, unlikely to be affected by flooding and far from human interference. The 500m dish surpasses Arecibo radio telescope, built in Puerto Rico in 1963, as the world’s largest and is three times more sensitive in detecting radio waves thousands of light years away. FAST consists of 4450 individual panels and Chinese project engineers had to design a cable net of ten thousand cables to manipulate it to detect signals. FAST’s focus cabin is also unique thanks to a directional tracking system. A key mission for the telescope will be detecting pulsars, the matter that remains when a star eight times the size of the sun explodes. These pulsars rotate thousands of times per second and are the universe’s most accurate clock. OVER THE SOUTH CHINA SEA (May 20, 2015) Sailors assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 45 conduct flight operations aboard a P-8A Poseidon over the South China Sea. During the flight, the crew of the P-8A documented several warnings, issued by China’s People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), to leave the area. The mission documented the continued expansion of reefs which have been turned into man-made islands with airport infrastructure in the South China Sea. VP-45 is on deployment supporting U.S. 7th Fleet operations in the Pacific. (U.S. Navy video/Released)
